A Garden of Forking Paths, December 1-22, 2016

Inspired by the nonlinear narrative style of Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986), A Garden of Forking Paths is an exhibition of eight Portland printmakers, each asked to view their process as something fluid, in which each step influences, but doesn't necessarily predict, the  next.  Results may be unexpected, unconventional, or uncharacteristic of the artist's typical style.  Risks are taken and decisions made, for the sake of moving forward, of making connections, of finding A way, as opposed to THE way.
