Harry Schneider @ Red Fox Bar!

Harry’s recent work extracts everyday objects - familiar shapes - a box, a takeout container, a soup can - from their regular context and places them in “unfamiliar visual space to explore how we interact, recognize and understand them.”  The environments are brightly-colored stratifications  that blend into one fluid atmosphere, that surround the floating object, allowing it to hover in the center of the picture plane, seemingly weightless, separate from its definition, it’s usefulness, it’s purpose.

Come hang at Red Fox bar THIS SUNDAY, 11/18, 6-8pm, and chat about his current art practice and what lies ahead. +++
